Music historian and documentary-maker to give first of lecture series at The Station, Richmond
ORGANISERS of a series of lectures with an eclectic range of topics are hoping to appeal to a wide audience, with six talks over 12 weeks.
The first of the Tuesday Talks at The Station, Richmond, is by music historian and award-winning television and radio producer Chris Phipps.
He will guide the audience through the untold stories of some of television and radio’s most enduring theme tunes - such as The Archers or Desert Island Discs.
“I’m really looking forward to giving a Tuesday Talk at The Station, as I’ve often been here as a visitor," he said.
Other talks will range from staging an international art show, to local news-gathering, music, business, lottery funding and auctioneering.
The 12 week series starts on Tuesday, January 21 at 10am, with the hour-long talks held every other Tuesday until April 1.
Tea or coffee and cakes are included with every ticket, courtesy of Seasons restaurant. Tuesday Talk tickets cost £6, or £30 for all six.
