STUDENTS from East Durham are celebrating after being made offers from universities throughout the UK.
The students, who studied a range of land-based courses at East Durham College’s Houghall Campus, in Durham City, have secured offers on courses as diverse as a BSc degree in zoology with herpetology (a branch of zoology concerned with the study of amphibians and reptiles) at Bangor University in Wales to a BA (Hons) degree in Wildlife and Media at the University of Cumbria.
This year East Durham College has seen a record number of students applying to study higher education.
