A MAN was taken to hospital after he was glassed in the face.
It happened in the car park to the side of the Bridge Inn, at Front Street, Annitsford on North Tyneside just before 9pm on New Year’s Day.
The 38-year-old man was assaulted with what is believed to be a glass or glass bottle and suffered a deep cut to his face.
He was taken to North Tyneside General Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Two men aged 28 and 23 have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
