A 38-YEAR-OLD man from Langley Moor in County Durham has died after a car crashed into a tree.
The accident happened just before 3am this morning (Wednesday, January 1) on the A167, near the Cock o’ the North roundabout, south of Durham City.
The Subaru Impreza flipped over following the smash and ended up on its roof.

“The man has died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.”
An inquest to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash will be held.
The man’s name is not being released until all of his relatives have been informed.
