DARLINGTON Film Club is getting into the festive spirit with a screening of one of the all-time classic Christmas movies.
It's A Wonderful Life, Frank Capra's yuletide fantasy has become a Christmas viewing tradition, alongside popular classics such as A Christmas Carol, The Snowman and White Christmas.
The film stars James Stewart as a good man contemplating suicide on Christmas Eve who is saved by his guardian angel.
Nominated for five Oscars, the film was something of a flop on its initial release but has gone on to be judged as one of the greatest films of the 20th Century.
It's A Wonderful Life will be screened at The Forum, in Borough Road, Darlington, at 8pm on Monday. Tickets cost £8.
