AN inquest has been opened into the death of a teenager at a North-East children’s home.
County Durham Coroner Andrew Tweddle this morning (Friday, December 20) opened an inquest into the death of 14-year-old Danielle Formosa.
The teenager, also known as Danni, died on Tuesday at the privately-run East Farmhouse Children’s Home in Consett, County Durham.
Miss Formosa, of Nawton Avenue in Sunderland, was a pupil at St Anthony’s Catholic Girls Academy in the city.
Mr Tweddle, sitting at Crook Civic Centre, in County Durham, said he had been advised there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Miss Formosa’s death and adjourned the hearing.
