THE Darlington branch of the North East Chamber of Commerce recently hold a meeting at Longfield Academy of Sport.

Present at the meeting were 40 business leaders from Darlington and business studies pupils from Longfield.

The pupils found the lively debate fascinating and were very interested in the varying economic position of local businesses.

Following the meeting the pupils had the opportunity to meet the business representatives first hand and debate some of the issues.

Dennis Pinnegar , who chaired the meeting, told the youngsters that all of the business people attending the meeting were once like them - starting out in life and hoping to make a success.
