A PASSIONATE foodie who used to work alongside a string of top TV comics has brought a touch of London's cafe culture to Saltburn.
Sarah Oatway's previous career managing comedy club Jongleurs' main venues in Battersea and Camden saw her rubbing shoulders with a host of comics, including Live at the Apollo stars Milton Jones, Stephen K Amos, Reginald D Hunter and Marcus Brigstocke.
Now, after moving to Saltburn six years ago to be closer to family, the mum of eight-year-old Thomas has just enjoyed a busy two months since opening her new cafe in the former Artsbank building in the seaside town's Milton Street.
She said: "I've always loved cooking, and I enjoy seeing people's passion for good food. So when the opportunity to open my own place came up here, I jumped at the chance.
"We've been busy so far, building up a mix of local regulars and visitors."
No 29 Cafe Art (CORR) on Milton Street, Saltburn, is open Tuesday to Saturday 9am-5pm and Sundays 10am-5pm. For more information call 01287-624149.
