AN APARTMENT believed to be a North Yorkshire town’s most expensive ever has been sold - for more than £1m.
The luxury town centre duplex apartment in Prince of Wales Mansions, overlooking the West Stray, was sold by property consultants Carter Jonas for in excess of the seven-figure sum.
It is believed to be the most expensive centrally-located apartment to have been sold in the spa town.
Carter Jonas’s head of residential sales Tony Wright said: “This is a milestone. The sale illustrates the popularity and confidence that exists in living in central Harrogate."
It is arranged over two floors and has around 430 square metres of living space.
He said: “Over the last year we have seen a significant improvement in the level of property transactions - the outlook for 2014 is very positive.”
