A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after sustaining a serious injury in a town centre shop.
The Great North Air Ambulance, Police and Fire Brigade came to the aid of the woman who was in a shop near Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough when the accident occurred around 10.20am today.
The woman had an arm injury which is not thought to be life-threatening. She was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed and it was being treated as an industrial accident.
