Birthday party to celebrate the Butterwick House Children’s Hospice's 15th anniversary

A BIRTHDAY party to mark the 15th anniversary of the Butterwick House Children’s Hospice took place on Saturday (October 26).
Staff from the hospice, which has its headquarters is in Stockton, held the party at the facility’s branch in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
The event featured a petting zoo, face painting and a caricaturist.
The hospice also received birthday cards from Prime Minister David Cameron, Labour leader Ed Miliband and from Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury and former Bishop of Durham.
Jackie Firth, marketing manager at the hospice, said: “We are very proud that the hospice has reached this anniversary.
“It’s hard due to the recession but we are still going strong and we’re doing very well at the moment.”
