A MAN has denied seven historic charges of indecent assaults on children dating back to the 1970s.
Edmond John Tudor Hillman, of Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, appeared before Chichester Crown Court on Thursday (October 17).
The alleged offences took place at a children’s home in Hambrook, on the south coast, between 1972 and 1978.
Mr Hillman, 57, is charged with three counts of indecent assault on a girl under 13, two counts of indecent assault on a boy under eight, as well as indecency with a child and indecent assault of a girl under 14.
Mr Hillman, who appeared via videolink from Newcastle Crown Court, was released on unconditional bail and will return to court for trial in March.
