A NEW book has been published supporting convicted killer Jeremy Bamber’s campaign for freedom.

Bamber, 52, is serving a whole life tarrif for the murders of his parents June and Nevill, his sister Sheila Caffell and her twin sons Daniel and Nicholas, six, at White House Farm in Tolleshunt D’Arcy.

He has twice lost appeals against his conviction but continues to lobby for a third appeal from the high security prison Full Sutton in Yorkshire.

Now Andrew Hunter, who was the MP for Basingstoke from 1983 to 2005, has written a book Beyond Reasonable Doubt which says the prosecution evidence in Bamber’s 1986 trial contained contradictions.

Bamber has always protested his innocence claiming the murders of June and Nevill and Nicholas and Daniel were carried out by Sheila, who was a paranoid schizophrenic, before she turned the gun on herself.

During the trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, the jury was told Sheila’s feet were clean which suggested she had not walked around the house across blood-stained carpets killing her family.

But a photograph from Bamber’s legal team shows traces of blood on Sheila’s feet.
Mr Hunter also raises the issue of scratches on a silencer which was allegedly attached to the rifle used in the killings.

Mr Hunter says he expects new forensics to form part of an on-going attempt for a third appeal at the High Court.
