Newcastle Eagles discuss aspirations and healthy eating
SOME of the biggest names in basketball were in Middlesbrough yesterday (Tuesday) taking classes with 12-year-olds.
Players and coaches from Newcastle Eagles, including head coach Fab Flournoy were at the academy all day with year eight students at Unity City Academy on Ormesby Road.
They were giving advice and discussing healthy eating, getting active, setting and achieving goals and raising aspirations.
Some of the leading names from the Eagles team were attending, including members of the ladies’ team who were encouraging schoolgirls to get involved in a host of different sports.
Newcastle Eagles are currently second in the British Basketball League, following their 112-98 win over Manchester Giants at the weekend.
