Roads to be closed in Hartlepool area for resurfacing work
A NUMBER of rural roads in Hartlepool are to be temporarily closed to traffic whilst resurfacing work is carried out.
The work which is part of Hartlepool Borough Council’s highways maintenance programme, will involve five separate sections of road.
The affected roads and the days on which they will be closed are as follows: • The C130 Coal Lane, from the pumping station to the Borough boundary (Tuesday, October 15) • Dalton Back Lane, Blue House to 200 metres north of Fernbeck (Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18) • Dalton Back Lane, Brierton Heights Farm to Three Gates (Friday, October 18) • Dalton Lane, village to Mayfield House (Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20) • Worset Lane, Naisberry crossroads to Waterside Way (Monday and Tuesday, October 21 and 22) Peter Nixon, Senior Traffic Technician with Hartlepool Council, said: “Signed diversions will be in operation on all routes whilst work is carried out.”
Another resurfacing scheme on the A178 Tees Road, between Elizabeth Way at Seaton Carew and the Sports Domes, will involve the use of two-way temporary traffic lights on Wednesday and Thursday, October 16 and 17.
