As you are for North-East Labour MP's as Miliband completes reshuffle
Most North-East Labour MPs with frontbench roles remained in the same posts, as Mr Miliband completed his reshuffle.
It was no change for Roberta Blackman-Woods (City of Durham - communities), Jenny Chapman (Darlington - justice), Helen Goodman (Bishop Auckland - culture), Kevan Jones (Durham North – defence) or Iain Wright (Hartlepool - business).
However, Ms Goodman, who already had responsibility for media issues – with controversy over the Leveson report raging – added the arts to her brief.
Both Tom Blenkinsop (Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland) and Phil Wilson (Sedgefield) remain in the Whips office, where they are joined by Bridget Phillipson (Houghton and Sunderland South).
Sharon Hodgson (Washington and Sunderland West) said she was “really excited” to be moving from education to be a spokeswoman for women, families and equality issues.
And there was a promotion for Julie Elliott (Sunderland Central), who joined the frontbench shadowing the department for energy and climate change.
