Help for diabetes sufferers and their carers

The next meeting of the Durham Voluntary Group of Diabetes UK will be held on Tuesday October 8 at 7.30 pm in the Diabetes Centre, University Hospital of North Durham.
The speaker for the night will be Dr Paul Peter, consultant physician and clinical lead from DarlingtonMemorial Hospital. He will gave a talk on Diabetes and Thyroid Disorders. All people with an interest in diabetes are welcome to the meeting, especially those people with diabetes and their helpers.
The meeting will be followed by refreshments and the opportunity for informal discussions with the speaker and other members and guests.
KEEP FIT: A gentle exercise class for older people is held at Citizens House, Station Yard, Consett, on Thursdays at 10am. Entry is £1.50 per session.

DANCE FITNESS: A dance exercise classes is starting held at Lanchester Community Centre on Thursdays at 7.45pm. Sessions cost £3.50. For more information call Pauline Cooper on 01207-505675.
EYES DOWN: Afternoon tea and prize bingo sessions are held at the Age UK County Durham Resource Centre in Betjeman Close East Stanley on Wednesdays at 1.30pm.
