Free 'forest school' taster sessions up for grabs for teachers
A HARTLEPOOL youth project is urging schools to head for the great outdoors to help pupils get the most from their learning.
The invitation comes from the West View Project (WVP) - a not-for-profit organisation which runs a host of outdoor learning activities for young people aged five to 19 - including sailing, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and forest schools.
The WVP is launching free taster sessions to introduce teachers to its Forest School courses from October until March in woodland near Wynyard.
