Quakers fans get chance to appear in club calendar
FANS of a non-league football club are being invited to appear in a calendar beside their favourite player.
For £25, Darlington FC supporters can have their photograph taken with a player or coach of their choice.
The images will be used in next year's club calendar, with four photos for each month.
Dave Mills, the club's community and liaison manager, said: “We have seen a terrific increase in the number of families attending our games and it would be great to see some family photos with their favourite players on our 2014 calendar to reflect this.”
Fans will also be able to enter a draw to appear on the front cover.
All proceeds will go the club.
Club photographer Les Hodge has arranged four photo shoots at Heritage Park on Wednesday, October 2 between 5.45pm and 6.45pm, and Saturday, October 12 between 1pm and 2pm, or at the Dolphin Centre on Monday, October 7 and Wednesday, October 9, both between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Fans can request that the player either wears his club suit, or a home or away shirt.
The calendar will be launched in November, priced £4, with photographed fans able to have their calender signed by the players.
To take part in the initiative, email Dave Mills at email@example.com or drop a note into Quaker Retail in Darlington indoor market with your name, telephone number and email address, the player or coach you want in the photo and what you would like them to wear, which photo shoot you will be attending and who will be in the photo.
Entry to the draw costs £5. Tickets will be available from Quaker Retail or from Dave Mills.
