Company launches second grant scheme

A CONSTRUCTION group in the North-East is launching the second year of its community support programme.
The County Durham-based Esh Group’s Esh Communities scheme has £39,000 to give to neighbourhood and community groups and charities in North-East and Yorkshire.
One scheme will be selected from each of the 23 council areas, including North Yorkshire and County Durham county councils.
Groups can apply for up to £1,000 for projects that fit Esh Group’s core values and improve quality of life , support disadvantaged or vulnerable communities ,increasing job prospects, promote equality and encourage healthy living and sustainable communities.

Esh Group chief executive Brian Manning said: “We know that the financial support we offer can help make a huge difference in many ways. “We also provide support to groups through our visits. “At Esh Group we look forward to visits like these; it’s a great chance for us to improve our understanding of the issues communities are tackling and to get to know those we help a little better.”
