Three bikers hurt in separate crashes
THREE motorcyclists were injured in a series of crashes on Sunday.
A collision involving a motorcyclist and tractor occurred on the A684 at Winton Bank, between the A19 and Northallerton, North Yorkshire, at about 3.10pm on Sunday.
Fire and ambulance crews were called to assist North Yorkshire Police.
The road remained closed for several hours.
The condition of the rider had not been released last night.
In a separate incident, a male motorcyclist was injured after colliding with another rider at an off-road event in Pea Road, Stanley, County Durham, at about 3pm.
The man in his 30s from Felling, Gateshead, suffered suspected internal injuries.
He was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle by the Great North Air Ambulance.
Emergency services were also called to the scene of a crash which involved two motorbikes at about 11.25am on the A171 Whitby to Scarborough road, near the Falcon Inn.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said both bikes were on fire when crews arrived.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said one of the bikers suffered superficial burns to the lower back. Both riders were taken to Scarborough District Hospital.
