A FORMER railway town is to honour its train history by placing two coal wagons on display on the outskirts of the town.
Shildon Town Council has bought the coal wagons and its members have discussed where they should be located.
Members agreed on putting one wagon on land at Four Lane Ends and the other at the site of former public toilets near to the Grey Horse pub, on Byerley Road.
The council has already installed two other wagons in the town at Cheapside and in the Hackworth Park.
