A NEW academy has opened its doors for youngsters wanting to develop their performing arts skills.
The Pauline Quirke Academy (PQA) offers children aged four to 18 the chance to learn about comedy and drama, musical theatre and film.
The Birds of a Feather and Broadchurch actress has a string of academies across the country with the latest one, PQA Tess Valley, opening up at Stockton Riverside College.
A free taster session was held on Saturday to get youngsters to sample the training that will be available at the academy.
The actress said: “I’m really excited about the opening of the Tees Valley Academy. We hope to offer children in the area a whole new experience in performing arts and to show them what PQA is all about.”
