THE boyfriend of a teenage mother who died after taking ecstasy has denied supplying the lethal drugs that killed her.
Nicole Tomlinson died in February last year after taking pills allegedly given to her by her boyfriend, James Michael Meaney.
Mr Meaney, 22, of Headlam Road, Darlington, pleaded not guilty to supplying the controlled Class A drug, MDMA - a form of ecstasy - to Miss Tomlinson when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court today (Monday, September 9).
The case was adjourned for a review on October 7 and Mr Meaney was granted unconditional bail ahead of his next appearance.
An inquest into the death of Miss Tomlinson found the 19-year-old died from an adverse reaction to drugs.
She lived in the Eastbourne area of Darlington and had a young son.
