Stroke survivors showing off their skills
STROKE survivors will show off their talents at a craft fair.
The Stroke Association is staging the event at St Nicholas Church hall, in Durham Market Place, on Wednesday, September 11.
For sale will be goods made by people who have suffered a stroke, including knitted goods by Betty Belle of County Durham Stroke Club, prints and calendars from members of the North East Still Life Photography Group and copies of former police constable Alan Bolton’s autobiography.
Durham Rotary Club, which supports the Stroke Association, will be selling collectable miniature vans and the Stroke Association will have an information stall.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm. Entry is free and visitors can have their blood pressure checked.
