Woman in court accused of St Helen's stabbing
A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of stabbing a man in the chest.
The charge relates to an alleged incident in which a 28-year-old man from the Durham area sustained chest injuries at St Helen Auckland, yesterday morning. (Thursday, August 29)
The case was adjourned to Durham Crown Court on September 13 and she was remanded into custody until that date.
The alleged victim was taken to The James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, where he is said to be recovering well and has been moved from intensive care to a regular ward.
A 34-year-old man, from the Durham area, who was also arrested and questioned by police in connection with the incident was released without charge.
