NORTH-East non-league football clubs are being given the chance to win a £50,000 grant.
FA Cup sponsor Budweiser has launched the second season of its Budweiser Club Futures schemes to invest £1m in the grassroots game. .
The aim is to help clubs improve facilities that will provide long-term stability and help them become more sustainable.
Blyth Town FC last season received a £50,000 grant, and another £100,000 super grant to extend its clubhouse, providing extra space to host social events, which will bring in more money.. .
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew will judge applications from clubs in Steps five, six and seven of the pyramid structure – which includes both divisions of the Northern League .
