AN amateur dramatic group is looking for volunteers to go The Full Monty for a forthcoming show.
The production will be staged in the former industrial town of Consett and follows the fortunes of six former steelworkers turned strippers.
CBS Musical and Stage Society is performing the an American musical stage version, adapted from the 1997 British Film, set in New York but assures audiences there will be plenty of local references for them to identify with.
CBS spokesman Andy Whitehead said: "This is a very different show for us to put on but one we think will appeal to our audience.
“The story of a steel town struggling for work will be familiar to the people of Consett and one which they will be able sympathise with.
“The Full Monty is a great opportunity for local people to be part of the cast and the story.”
The show will be at the Empire Theatre in Consett next June.
Auditions will be held at an undisclosed location in Consett at times to be arranged on August 27.
To arrange an appointment call Mr Whitehead on 0771-330-7722.
