WITNESSES WANTED: Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision that killed ex-Cleveland police officer Paul Bland. The 59-year-old grandfather was riding a motorcycle on Wednesday, August 7 at about 11.30am on the westbound carriageway of the A66 in Middlesbrough, when he crashed into the central reservation. Witnesses are asked to contact Acting Sergeant Andrew Lawson of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting the reference number 138586.
