Darlington 21st Allstars: THE Under-14s Colts, sponsored by Ultimate Windows & Conservatories, struggled to cope with a physical Greatham side who would have had more than a one-goal half-time lead had it not been for brave saves from Curtis Simpson.

The second half was a different story as The Colts dominated and deservedly equalised when James Collins through ball was flicked on by Richard Howe to Adam Boyle, who held off a defender before scoring. Man of the match was Jordan Grieves.

Challenge Cup

The Under-16s lost by the odd goal in five to Mount Pleasant.

The Under-16s started well and scored through Chris Farlow, but after fading they were 2-1 down at the break. Allstars rallied in the second half and forced an equaliser through Liam Clarke to force extra-time.

It looked like penalties may decide the game, before the visitors scored in the last minute with a break away goal. Man of the match was Joe Watson.

The Under-15s Colts were involved 4-4 thriller with Whitby.

The Allstars went ahead only for Whitby to strike back twice to take the lead. When the Under-15s Colts put their minds to it they played Whitby off the park.

However, Whitby were allowed a way back into the game and in the end a draw was a fair result.

Man of the match was Jonathan Pritchard.

The Under-9s Colts drew 1-1 with Cumby Rovers.

Cumby started well with the first real attack of the game but Allstars made the most notable chances with Padurariu tapping the ball in to break the deadlock. In the second half Cumby snatched another goal with five minutes to go from a scramble in the box.

Man of the match was Dell.

The Under-15s drew a black with St Francis. In a tight game Allstars created chances without any end result, competing well all over the pitch in another improved performance. Man of the match was Lee Gibbon

Darlington Spraire Lads

SPRAIRE Lads Under-9s took on third-placed Aycliffe SC B at home and both teams came away with a point apiece, as it ended 1-1.

Aycliffe took the lead after some sloppy defending to lead 1-0 at half-time. In the second half Spraire were awarded a free-kick on the edge of box and Bradley Middleton stepped up to blast home and make it 1-1.

In the dying stages Spraire were awarded a penalty after an Aycliffe handball, but Spraire were unable to convert the chance, and the keeper saved well.

Man of the match was Lewis Walton. In the friendly Spraire won 7-3 thanks to goals from Zak Allen (3), Oliver (3) and Jordan Fogg. Man of the match was Oliver McBurney.

Spraire Lads Under-10s, sponsored by EHL Electrical and Mechanical Services, faced a physical side when they visited Newton Aycliffe.

Spraire got their break from a Liam Pollock corner which skipped up off Brandon Keller's knee and looped over the goalkeeper. Aycliffe equalised from Spraire's inability to mark up from corners. But Spraire were well worth their win and in the second half Peter Reddington, Bradley Bell and Ben Joyeux took the game to their opponents.

Man of the match was awarded to Liam Pollock.

In the friendly Spraire ran out 7-2 winners. Ben Joyeux and Bradley Bell each scored two, Richard Moore, Liam Pollock and Joshua Parker each got a goal a piece.

Spraire Lads Under-11s, sponsored by Astra Transport, despite winning, did not get out of the starting blocks when they met Ferryhill Town in the league and soon found themselves 2-0 down.

Liam Mckue managed to pull one back before half-time with a well-taken goal. In the second half Ferryhill scored another two to make it 4-1.

A great header by the smallest man on the pitch Kyle Swainston pulled another one back for Spraire. Liam McKue notched again and with two minutes to go Kieran Weeks scored to level the score.

The game was now set up for an exciting finish and in the dying seconds Spraire were awarded a penalty for a handball by a Ferryhill player which Liam Mckue put away to seal the win for Spraire. Man of the match was Kieran Weeks.

Spraire Lads Under-12s entertained Whinny Banks with both sides creating some good chances. Spraire took the lead ten minutes into the second half with a well-taken goal from Dillon Ward.

Whinney Banks made it 1-1 five minutes later and they also hit the bar and the post and forced Jake Wood the Spraire keeper into making some good saves.

Ten minutes from time Spraire took the lead after some good passes between Jamie Hutchinson, Lee Varley, Hugh Fox and Sean Gunn. The ball fell to Sean who chipped the ball over the Whinney Banks keeper into the goal as Spraire ran out 2-1 winners.

Spraire Lads Under-13s entertained Thornaby and a much improved team display from Spraire resulted in a 4-2 victory. After a goalless first half Spraire were rewarded after the interval when a corner, taken by Danny Longstaff, was headed home at the near post by Aaron Silliker.

Spraire went further ahead when Jacob Crane scored after good interchanging of passes involving Zac Tervit and Danny Stead resulted in the ball landing at Jacobs's feet, who finished the move off excellently. Spraire quickly scored their third goal when Jacob Crane scored his second of the game.

Thornaby never gave up and pulled a goal back with five minutes to go. Spraire immediately broke away and sealed the game when an excellent passing move ended with Matthew Plumb firing the ball into the net to make it 4-1. Thornaby were awarded a penalty shortly before full-time to make it 4-2.

Spraire Lad's Under-14s B faced Teesside, who opened the scoring after a Spraire error. It didn't take long to send the forwards Jake B and Andrew to score the equaliser with a well taken header from Andrew. In the second half new signing Alex moved into the striker role and within one minute scored a goal. Late on Teesside scored an equaliser from the penalty spot.

Mount Pleasant Rangers

MOUNT Pleasant Rangers Under-10s B, sponsored by Noble Self Drive, secured their first league point of the season against Billingham Town B.

MPR went 1-0 down early in the first half. Rangers kept their nerve continuing to gain corners and gradually getting more possession before some good midfield work by Aaron Chapman saw the ball threaded through to Harry Bowes, who lost his marker and raced toward goal, unleashing a curling drive into the far corner.

Billingham regained their lead early in the second half and forced Ranger's keeper Kieran Wainwright to make some excellent saves. With about ten minutes to go Aaron Chapman won the ball just inside his own half, jinked past three defenders and powered an unstoppable shot past the Billingham keeper. Man of the match was Aaron Chapman.

In the friendly Aaron Chapman scored early in the first half. However, Billingham equalised shortly before half-time.

In the second half Rangers put some pressure on and eventually a goal from Andrew Ward put them 2-1 ahead. The captain was Aaron Dinsdale, who was also man of the match.

Mount Pleasant Rangers Under-15s, sponsored by N T Whitfield Transport Ltd, played away at Billingham Town in a league match.

Billingham Town took the lead midway through the first half against the run of play.

This only spurred Rangers on and they equalised soon after when Adam Scarr drilled the ball home from a tight angle. Rangers then took the lead shortly before half-time when Nick Petch finished at the second attempt.

In the second half Billingham equalised for the second time in the game with a well-taken goal. Rangers fought back again and took the lead again when Nick Petch finished off a well worked move.

Yousif Ameen Ali added a fourth goal before Nick Petch scored two more goals taking his goal tally to four and ten for the season. Rangers finished off the scoring when Nick McStravick beat two players and his perfectly placed cross was finished off by Yousif Ameen-Ali. Man of the match was Nick Petch.

Mount Pleasant Rangers Under-12s A, sponsored by Paul Saddington Builders, played Ferryhill at home and lost 3-1. Rangers' goal was scored by Jon Burn.

Mount Pleasant Rangers Under-13s were playing away at Aycliffe Youth for a place in the last 16 of the Durham County Cup. This was a hard-fought game in bad conditions, but MPR came out on top with a 4-2 win with goals from John Flynn, Jordan Smith, Matty Walker and Ryan Watson. Man of the match was Micky Roberts.

Mount Pleasant Rangers FC Under-9s, sponsored by Auto Electrics (Teesside) Ltd, were at home to St Francis 2000 A and still chasing their first league win.

Rangers missed several chances when St Francis broke through the hard-working defence to slot past the Rangers keeper to make it 1-0. Rangers tried their hardest in the second half to beat the St Francis keeper with some fluent football only to see St Francis run out 1-0 winners. Man of the match was Bradley Tunstall.

Rangers are still unbeaten in the friendly games and they took an early lead through Bradley Tunstall. St Francis soon equalised and they added a second with a goal trickling past the feet of the keeper. Sam Hutchinson stepped in to preserve their unbeaten run when he equalised to make it 2-2. Man of the match was Mitchell Little.

The Under-12s B team, sponsored by Cummins Engines, played away at Catterick Garrison. In the first half Catterick managed to break away and lob goalkeeper Joe Winter to make it 1-0.

In the second half the floodgates opened and Rangers scored five with goals from Ryan Towns, Dean Yates, Luke Bonniface and two from Rangers' leading goalscorer Lewis Stockill.

Rangers Under-10s A, sponsored by Burnside Carpets, played away at Billingham Town. Despite solid defending from Lewis Timms, Lewis Thomas and captain James Bradshaw, Billingham Town forced a first half goal. Billingham Town forced a save from a corner kick which Gareth Raper was unable to get clear as Billingham ran out 2-0 winners.

In the friendly MPR goalkeeper Declan Brown kept the scores level at half-time with some excellent saves. The second half saw MPR pressure the Billingham Town defence and this paid off with a goal from Andrew Hull. Billingham Town responded by forcing an equaliser, Billingham Town scored two more goals in quick succession to make it 3-1. Man of the match was Andrew Hull.

The Under-16s were away at 21st Allstars A in the second round of the Challenge Cup and they advanced following 3-2 win thanks to goals from Coglan, Potts and an own goal.

Darlington RA Juniors

RA Juniors travelled to Coulby Newham and it was the home side who took the lead on six minutes when Jenkins converted a penalty kick.

On 16 minutes RA were level, Jack Ridley with his back to goal looped a shot over the home keeper. Coulby put RA under pressure with a flurry of corners but could find no way past RA keeper Jamie Miller on his Juniors debut. RA were ahead after half an hour when jack ridley converted a penalty following a trip on Purdie.

RA stepped up a gear in the second half and went further ahead thanks to an Andy Grey left foot shot. RA had more good chances through Hind and Hutchinson before they finally got a fourth goal, Michael Purdie scoring after a Jack Ridley shot was well saved by the home keeper.

Coulby Newham managed to get another goal in the last minute of the game but in injury time Jamie Hind netted for the Juniors to make it 5-2.

Albion Boys

THE Under-18s, sponsored by Mervyn Caley Building and Joinery, entertained Ferryhill Town at home and won comfortably 9-3. Goalscorers were Johnny McGough (5), Kev Sung (2), Robbie Gardener and Luke Blaser. Man of the match was Johnny McGough.

Albion Boys Under-13s, sponsored by SG Petch, were at Coulby Newham in the league. Albion won the game in the first half racing into a four-goal lead and added another in the second to win 5-0.

Goalscorers were Richie Sung (2) Brandon Coulton, Kyle Piper and Liam Crang. Richie Sung just shaded the man of the match award from keeper Jack Scarr.

The Under-15s, sponsored by Elizabeths Embroidery, entertained Belasis at home and for the second successive week scored 12 goals, winning 12-2. Goalscorers were Lee Barnes (3), Nicky Watson (3), Simon Peat (2), Lewis Walker, Dale McPherson, James Griffith and David Waters.

Man of the match was Simon Peat.
