GCSE and A-level art students are to learn from a textile and fashion designer.
Framwellgate School Dur-ham's art department will hold a workshop for students on Tuesday, December 12 with with Anna Summerson.
Ms Summerson has a studio at Embbellis, in Saddler's Yard, Durham, where she makes custom-made clothing.
She embellishes T-shirts, bodices, bags, and skirts to the customer's taste and requirements. All her garments are hand-made and incorporate beads, ribbons and fabrics.
A school spokeswoman said: "The idea of the workshop is to allow students to gain insight from an experienced and creative designer into what it is like to be in the fashion industry, as well as pick up and try out new techniques for them to use in their artwork.
"At the same time, Anna can raise the profile of her business venture while passing on valuable knowledge to potential future designers."
