A NIGHTSPOT is offering drivers who do not drink a free night out.
Chicago Rock Cafe, in Chester-le-Street, is launching its "I'll Be Des'' campaign today, which will give designated drivers free admission, free draught soft drinks and 20 per cent off the price of a meal.
General manager Mark Warrilow said: "Our campaign acts as an incentive to encourage the use of a no alcohol-drinking driver as well as to remind customers to think about their own and other people's safety."
Customers looking to take advantage of this offer must contact Chicago Rock Cafe at least 24 hours before arrival with the name of their nominated driver for the evening.
On arrival at the venue they will receive a wrist band that must be worn at all times and presented to a member of staff when ordering drinks and food.
