Guidi, who’s recorded with Enrico Rava, has an international trio with Thomas Morgan again and Portuguese drummer Joao Lobo. There’s a warmer, more resonant recorded sound, which suits the more lyrical approach, but again the challenge is for the musicians to interpret the new material to the best of their ability.
