HORSE SHOT: Police are hunting two men seen with an air rifle shortly before a horse was found with a wound likely to have been caused by an air pellet. The pair were seen in fields near Vaughan Street, Shildon, on the evening of June 18. The horse was in the same field and its injuries were discovered two days later. Anyone who can help with enquires should call Shildon Police on 101.
