Casey Lam picks up her Blueprint 2013 award
A YOUNG entrepreneur has won a business start-up award.
Casey Lam, who founded Top Hat Teacakes, picked up the Durham University Blueprint 2013 prize.
She will now compete in a regional final against winners from the universities of Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside.
She said: “It’s so exciting to launch a product and grow its success.
“However, to win an award so early on is unbelievable – and amazingly encouraging.”
Top Hat Teacakes will have a stall at Durham’s Youth Market on Sunday (May 19).
