POLICE have negotiated an end to an incident a house in Stockton where there had been concern for a 33-year-old man, locked in a room with pet snakes.
Armed response officers were called to the location on the Wrensfield Estate, Stockton, around 5.30am this morning.
They were stood down some time after and other officers forced entry to the premises were the man was holed up in a room with his pet snakes.
The RSPCA was also called in and ambulance paramedics were on standby.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "Police spent several hours at a property in the Wrensfield area of Stockton this morning and can now confirm that a 23-year-old man has been arrested for affray."
