COMEDY DATES: The dates of two Middlesbrough Town Hall comedy shows have been rescheduled due to TV filming commitments.
Jimmy Carr’s Gagging Order show, which was due to take place on September 24, has been moved to Saturday October 19 due to the comedian’s filming commitments on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats.
And double-headliners Seann Walsh and Josh Widdecombe have moved their gig, which was supposed to be on Friday, March 22, to Wednesday May 22 due to them being snapped up for new TV projects.
All existing ticket holders have been contacted and original tickets sold remain valid for the new dates. For more information contact www.middlesbroughtownhallonline.co.uk or (01642) 729729.
OPEN DAY: Potential students thinking about postgraduate study can attend an open day at Teesside University on Wednesday (MARCH 13) from 11am to 3pm.
Postgraduate students can now benefit from a fees discount of ten per cent at Teesside, providing they are a continuing Teesside University student progressing from an undergraduate course; have graduated from Teesside within the last two years; or have graduated with first-class honours from an undergraduate course at any other university within the last two years.
For more information go to the University’s open day or visit www.tees.ac.uk.
HOME SWAP: Residents wanting to avoid the so-called “bedroom tax” or move to larger houses are being encouraged to find out more about a “home swap” process.
The scheme, open to tenants of Erimus Housing and Tees Valley Housing, could allow people with larger properties to swap for smaller ones, or vice versa.
The two companies, part of Fabrick Housing Group, are urging people to attend an awareness week this week which takes place at the neighbourhood offices run by the companies.
