Redcar and Cleveland is the least multi-cultural part of England, official statistics show.
The area was found to have over 99.3 per cent of people who spoke English as a first language.
This was in contrast with Newham, in London, which had just 58.6 per cent speaking English as their main language.
The country’s most diverse areas were all in London, the data from the Office for National Statistics found.
The second most main English speakers lived in North-East Derbyshire, with Staffordshire close behind. Northumberland had the ninth highest number of at 99 per cent.
