Search for missing woman stood down after body discovered

POLICE searching for a missing 73-year-old woman have found a body.
Sheila Sykes went missing from her home in Dunnington, near York, at 8pm on Friday.
A body was found just before 5pm today (Sunday) close to Hagg Wood, near Dunnington.
Police have not yet formally identified the body, but Mrs Sykes' next of kin have been informed of the discovery and the search stood down.
Earlier, police helicopters and volunteers from Scarborough Search and Rescue Team searched the local area, while Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team scoured the banks of the River Derwent.
