A CELEBRITY charity fundraiser where raffle prizes include a Porsche Boxster was launched today (Tuesday, February 26).

A week in a penthouse apartment in Marbella and exclusive use of a luxury North-East hotel, including the use of 35 bedrooms, dinner, bed and breakfast and 35 bottles of champagne, are also up for grabs at Fashion Match 2013.

Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley will be singing live and comedian Bobby Davro will be performing in a luxury marquee in the grounds of the Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park on March 22.

Past and present players from Newcastle United, the Newcastle Falcons and Durham County Cricket Club will 'strut their stuff' down the fashion catwalk, modelling clothes from luxury fashion retailer Cruise.

At least £180,000 has already been raised for the three charity recipients, Marie Curie, The Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) and the Chefs Adopt a School Charity with a target of over £300,000.

The event has been planned and led by North-East businessmen Graham Wylie, fellow entrepreneur Ian Watson, chairman of Hadrian Healthcare.

Mr Wylie, owner of the Northumberland hotel and golf complex, Close House and the Technology Services Group, said: “I want to be able to raise as much money as possible for our three special charities.

“Everyone who will be on the catwalk on the night will have given their time, including rehearsals for free, and it promises to be a really exciting evening.

“We have a number of spectacular auction prizes, great entertainment and few surprises that will make the event one to be remembered.”

Tickets cost £300 each and more information is available by calling 0191-219-1000.
