Durham man held over football trouble

A DURHAM man has been arrested by police investigating football violence.
The 25- year-old was held on suspicion of conspiring to commit violent disorder. He has been bailed pending further enquiries. Northumbria Police are investigating an apparently pre-planned clash between home and away fans before the Sunderland v West Ham Premiership match on Saturday January 12.
The trouble flared outside Revolution Bar at Low Row in Sunderland city centre.
So far 20 people have been arrested ranging from teenagers to men in their 50s.
