PRIMARY school children have today (Friday, February 8) been preparing for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Chinese artist Lip Lee spent the day with pupils of Bournmoor Primary School near Chester-le-Street, County Durham.
Headteacher Laura Snowdon said: “Lip Lee has been working with each class in the school, involving pupils in a range of arts and crafts.
“They made origami, signs of the Zodiac, bangers and baskets and chopstick wrappers.
“They had Chinese lunch, with parents and grandparents invited to attend.
“The day finished with Lee giving the children a talk about Chinese culture. There was a real buzz about the school today.”
