STUDENT actors are to perform the world’s greatest love story in a spectacular setting.
Members of Durham University’s Castle Theatre Company are to stage Romeo and Juliet in the nave of Durham Cathedral.
The three-night run starts tomorrow (Saturday, February 9) with performances at 7.30pm each evening.
Director Matt Dann said: "To be able to put on any play in Durham Cathedral is special enough.
"But to be able to put on a Shakespeare play with swordfights, real fire, beautiful costumes, and one of the most exceptional casts I have ever seen, is really special. I am very lucky".
Tickets, priced £10 or £7 for concessions, are available from the World Heritage Visitor Centre, Owengate, Palace Green or on 0191-334-3805.
