Sedgefield drink driver banned for 20 months

Gavin Ward, 29, of Boyne Court, Sedgefield, pleaded guilty to driving while above the alcohol limit.
He was stopped by police while driving on Woodland Road, in Darlington, on January 28, and registered a breath test of 89mg in 100ml of breath.
The legal limit is 35mg in 100ml. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £110 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20 by Darlington magistrates.
