SEARCH efforts to find a missing Helmsley woman who has not been seen for 11 days continue.

North Yorkshire Police are working with Park Rangers from North York Moors National Park to search for Barbara Colling, 68.

Mrs Colling’s son and daughter are also assisting in the search which remains focused in the Newgate woods, Buxton woods, Birch woods and Laskill House areas near Helmsley.

She was last seen walking along the B1257 near Abbotts Hag at around 9.30am on Monday, January 28.

Inspector Andy Everitt said: “I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the search for Barbara - their efforts are greatly appreciated.

“I ask that people remain vigilant and contact the police if they can assist to find Barbara, including checking barns and outbuildings in case she has taken shelter from the weather.”
