A NORTH Yorkshire MP is to get involved in a ‘Tweet Off’ with other MPs later this month, to raise awareness of heart disease.

Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Andrew Jones is to tweet a picture of himself in Westminster, taken by the British Heart Foundation on Wednesday, from his account @AndrewJonesMP.

He will then compete with other MPs to get it retweeted as many times as possible to raise awareness of National Heart Month.

The MP is also going to volunteer at a BHF charity shop and collect books for the charity.

If anyone has any books to donate to the charity, they can be dropped off at Mr Jones’ constituency office at 57 East Parade, Harrogate, HG1 5LQ or a member of his staff may be able to collect them by calling 01423-529614 or by emailing andrew.jones.mp@parliament.uk.
