POLICE are appealing for help to find a 32-year-old man who has gone missing from Reeth, North Yorkshire.

Michael Witham has not been in contact with his family since Monday, January 14 and police and his family are growing increasingly concerned.

Officers believe Mr Witham may be in the Devon or Cornwall area, having travelled from the north in his blue Nissan Navaro pick-up, and are appealing to anyone who believes they have seen him or knows of his current whereabouts to contact them.

Sergeant Stuart Grainger said: “Michael left his temporary accommodation in Reeth last Monday with the intention of visiting his family in Essex but he did not arrive and has not been in touch with them since.

“If anyone believes they have seen Michael or spoken to him in the last few days, in particular guest house, hotel and campsite owners, we urge you to contact the police.

“If Michael sees or hears this appeal, we urge you to get in touch with your family, friends or the police, and let us know that you are safe and well.”

Michael is described as white, of slim build with short, brown, spiked hair, brown eyes, and has a number of tattoos on his forearms.

He drives a blue Nissan Navaro pickup, registration number Y715 UHN.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting North Yorkshire Police reference number of 12130007407.
