The Peterlee Leisure Centre has launched a new high intensity indoor workout called Evolution Boot Camp, offering local people the opportunity to improve their fitness quickly. The sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm and on Sunday from 9.30am – 10.30am.

SELF DEFENCE: Self-defence classes are being held at Durham Trinity College, Flambard premises, Aykley Heads, Durham City, from 1.30pm to 3pm every Sunday. All ages from 11 years and upwards and all capabilities are catered for. Sessions are £3.50 each, with the first one being free. For further information contact 07599-817950.

RESIDENTIAL CARE: Plans have been unveiled for plans for the refurbishment of an existing barn to create four flats for residential care at Moor House Farm, Durham Road, Easington. An application has been submitted to Durham County Council seeking permission for the development.

PACT MEETING: A Police and Community Together (Pact) meeting will be held at the Healthworks Building, Paradise Lane, Easington Colliery, from 6pm to 7pm on Monday (January 21). A representative of the neighbourhood policing team will be in attendance.
