WARNINGS of severe frost and icy conditions overnight with temperatures as low as minus ten are set to cause dangerous conditions for travellers in North Yorkshire tomorrow.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Highways said: "Clear skies will allow for a widespread, hard frost overnight with road surface temperatures significantly below zero.
"Grit salt is not so effective at temperatures below minus 5 so road users are advised to take extra care, allow for extra journey times and to slow down in order to keep a distance from the car in front.”
