TRAIN company First TransPennine Express is cutting 25 per cent off up to one million advance fare tickets this January.
The tickets, which are only available via the internet, are on sale up until January 31 and for travel up to March 27.
The sale means, for instance, that a single ticket from York to Newcastle is cut from £7 to £5.25.
The discount is also available on the firm's Connections ticket which enable passengers to connect onto other rail operators’ services across the North and into Scotland.
Sale tickets are subject to availability and can be used for travel in first class and standard class on off-peak services.
